Making sweet lassi
Making lassi is quite simple! Here's a basic recipe for a refreshing sweet lassi (you can adjust it to suit your taste):
Ingredients:
- Yogurt: 1 cup (about 240 grams)
- Water: 1/2 cup (about 120 ml)
- Sugar: 1-2 teaspoons (or more, depending on how sweet you like it)
- Ice cubes: 3-4 (optional, for chilling)
- Cardamom powder: A pinch (optional, for flavor)
- Rose water: A drop (optional, for a fragrant touch)
Instructions:
- Blend Yogurt: In a blender, add 1 cup of yogurt.
- Add Water: Pour in 1/2 cup of water to make the consistency thinner. You can adjust the amount of water to make it thicker or thinner, depending on your preference.
- Sweeten: Add 1-2 teaspoons of sugar (or more, if you like it sweeter). You can also add a pinch of cardamom powder for extra flavor.
- Blend: Blend everything together until smooth and frothy.
- Add Ice (optional): If you like your lassi chilled, add ice cubes and blend again until smooth.
- Serve: Pour the lassi into a glass and, if desired, garnish with a pinch of cardamom powder or a small drizzle of rose water for a fragrant touch.
Tips:
- You can add fruits like mango, strawberry, or banana to make a fruit lassi. Just blend the fruit with the yogurt and water.
- If you prefer a salty lassi, skip the sugar and add a pinch of salt, roasted cumin powder, and chopped mint leaves.
Enjoy your cool and refreshing lassi! Let me know if you'd like variations or other recipes.
